Converter Location

I have an electrical issue with my new (to me) motorhome. My wife and I purchased a 2000 Itasca Horizon DP, I had a battery cable end break while installing a new end, I accidently arched the cable. I've talked to a few mechanic and they say to check the converter box but no one can tell me where it's located .
Can anyone help me with where to look?

Follow the large cables form your batteries.....it won't be too far away, like the next over cabinet/bay from the batteries. I know that Winne liked to mount a lot of that stuff under the refer. Keep in mind that the converter needs to be cool, so look for a cabinet with a wooden louver.

Bronze Rider-

A few links for you:

https://winnebagoind.com/product-res...ct-information
https://winnebagoind.com/diagram/Wiring.htm
2000 Horizon P34BD Wiring Diagram Book, or
2000 Horizon P36LD Wiring Diagram Book
depending on which model Horizon you have

"Body, 12 Volt Wiring Installation," (sheet 4) at first glance, seems to confirm "Dutch Star Don's" advice to check under the refrigerator.

The inverter in your Horizon is also the converter & charger. As others suggest, just follow the battery positive cable to it. It probably has a breaker that tripped (inverter/chargers do not typically have the two polarity fuses used on vanilla-type converters).

Found it

Thank you All for the help. It was in the wall panel below the refrigerator. About the only panel I hadn't removed.
Thank you all again.
