Counteract Balancing Beads?

I was given a quote for the Counteracts that was less than half of the Centramatics ($152 vs $350).

Does anyone have any experience with the Counteracts? I have no experience with this type of balancing (although I do understand how it works) but I just have a hard time accepting something floating around the inside of my tire.

The Centramatics and Balance Masters just seem like a better product to me.

Have used balancing beads in our DP, especially after clip on weights destroyed 2 rims on our Yukon. The steel clamp was not liked by the aluminum rim and corroded. to point of leak. There are no balance weights that mount on the outside of rim that do not mar or mark, or in cases where there is salt on roads, corrode any but steel rims.

I put new tires on my MH last year and it was a given from the tire dealers that they would be balancing beads in my tires. I had to tell them not to be cause i have the balancing unit on my axle.

In some cases, the beads will balance a tire when weights just do get the job done. I had a front 22.5" tire that couldn't balance till we put the beads in. Just pour them in and forget it. Even as the tire wears, the beads shift to where they are needed. If you don't want to pay the high price for the Counteracts, just pick up some BB's at a sports store, weigh up 10 oz and pour them in. If more are needed, add another few oz's till balanced.

When I bought the BB's at Wal-Mart I looked at the DynaBeads website for the correct amount. For my 22.5" tires they recommended 12 oz.
