Critters
I have a big problem with critters chewing on my wiring on the underneath side of my RV. They have chewed on leveling Jack wiring and now wiring to my transmission. Has any one had this problem and what can I do to prevent this?

Thankfully we haven't had that problem with the RV.
My son had a rural lot that had a a metal shed where he stored a tractor basically in the middle of a field. We got mouse repellent at Home Depot and placed them around the tractor. I can't say how well it worked, but we never had any problems with chewing wires or rubber.
If you have power, the ultrasonic repellent devices might be a good choice.
Hopefully someone with more relevant experience will reply.

For quite a while now we've been having rodent issues in the garage at home - we find droppings, and if we leave ANY foodstuff not packed in plastic storage bins they get eaten. All our eradication efforts are to no avail. Yesterday the wife was doing the laundry - as she was moving the load from the washer to the dryer she grabbed what she thought was a grey T-shirt. It turned out to be the body of a small possum that somehow got into the washing machine and went through the entire cycle! Needless to say the neighbors (and possibly the entire block!) heard her reaction!
It must have been dead before she loaded the washer because she can't imagine that the little guy would remain motionless while she was tossing clothes in on top of it - we figure it somehow fell in within the past few days and then died.

Snap traps are probably the best at keeping the population down. Place at regular spacing around the underside of the coach. Crunchy peanut butter works well for bait. If the critters are not mice or rats then live traps might be a better alternative. I have a squirrel issue at times and trapping with the live trap has worked well. Good luck.

Peppermint Essential Oil (a good natural repellent). So a product with peppermint in it.
Castor oil and citronella extracts or eucalyptus oils, should also work.
Some say Apple cider vinegar will do the trick too.
Or coat the lines with baking soda. Mice can't fart (like pets) so they'll "pop."
I also put Mothballs around my house and under the Moho. So far so good.
If you sprinkle some Ammonia around the Rv, they'll think it comes from the urine of a lurking predator and stay away. Doesn't hurt to try. It's cheap.

Get these (maybe 6 or so) Just a dab of Penut Butter - then check them every day till you have a week of no rodents - https://www.amazon.com/Tomcat-Press-.../dp/B00N6XKVNY
They have been the Best - the Easiest - the Most Effective - I have ever used.
Here in Colorado the critters (Mice) are in every RV Park, we average at least one a day and as many as 3 in our last ten days here.
One other solution - A really Good Barn Cat

Grandpa Gus spray rodent repellent. Found some stuff similar at Lowes.

I just got NH oil undercoat in Mouse version.. it is a tad messy as an oily base but works well, after a few rides and dirt film it is fine...

We have huskies.
No problem with any other animals. Hell, one of them once took down a sheep!
I do need to teach them to leave skunks alone.

My wife cuts bars of Irish Spring soap in halves and places them in the storage compartments as well as inside the coach. The RV is parked in a barn and we haven't had a sign of mice poop in years since using the soap. It works for us.
