My wife and I are planning a cross country trip to Yellowstone Park. We have a 38 ft class A pulling a Jeep Wrangler. I'm hitting a road block getting into the park off of Rt 90

Has anyone ever gone on a similar trip, and how did you get into the park from the Northeast?

You might look at the option of taking 89 south at Livingston, this will take you through Gardiner MT and to the North Entrance to Yellowstone. We have a 38' Monaco, we weren't towing anything but didn't have any problems.

We were in Yellowstone in 2009 and went to Gardiner for supplies and fuel. Once you get off the interstate all the supply & fuel prices will be higher so it would pay to stock up.

The NE entrance to Ystone is a hellish ride for an RV. I've done all the entrances and prefer the East entrance out of Cody. You have to climb Sylvan pass (we had snow up there this past July 8) but puts you right into Fishing Bridge.

I came from your direction and went around to the west gate and actually stayed at Grizzly RV Resort in West Yellowstone.. One of the best CG's we've stayed in.. Only 1.5 miles from west yellowstone entrance....
