Cruise control problem

Have a Chevy P-30 chassis on my 1998 class A Holiday Rambler. The cruise control stopped functioning yesterday. Checked for a blown fuse but have been unable to locate one that is labeled Cruise Control. Anyone have any insights?

Which Manufacturer is it? If it is Bendix then they are out of business. You would either have to rebuild with parts you might be able to find or change it out to a new one. If we ever have to replace our Bendix it would have to be Cruise King LLC then to do it with. We did have a problem with ours that we were lucky enough to find the parts for to fix for $75 so we are good for now.

Do your brake lights come on? Check the brake light fuse, that's how it is on mine,.

If it is not a fuse, a taillight that is blown will cause it not to work.

I had a 3/4 ton pickup that had that happen - it turned out the turn signal stick had to be replaced. It controlled the dimmer on the headlights also. That would be an easy test to determine if the same problem. Good luck.

Check the brake light switch, if it is not adjusted to retract all the way when the brake pedal is released the cruise will not work. I discovered this after changing a power brake booster.
