Cruiserlift installation

I purchased a used Cruiserlift for my Tiffin Phaeton in the Rio Grande Valley and I need to get it installed. Has anyone had a lift installed near here? Or perhaps could recommend a welding shop to install the triple receiver hitch. I am in the Brownsville, Harlingen, McAllen Texas area. Thanks.

Just to make sure you understand welding on your coach. Make damn sure the welder understands the necessary steps that must be done before he strikes an arc and fires you electronics.

Any reasonable welding shop should be able to help you but used is going to be a little more difficult than new. Read Criuser Lift instructions and you'll see that the mounting plates slide over the square tube. Those mounting plates are then adjusted to fit the frame rails. Once in place, the hitch is centered and welded to the mounting plates. Do not trim the mounting plates as you need every bit of the surface are to keep things solid over the long haul. I had to have mine beefed up after the first few hundred miles after the original guy trimmed it to fit easier.

The welder should mount his ground clamp right next to where he is welding because the welding draws current between the ground clamp and the electrode or mig torch. If there are any electronics in between the two, you will fry them all.

To be extra safe, I would unplug all computer systems on the coach...

All I needed to do on ours was to remove the neg battery connection on both house and chassis battery.
