Cummins 345 Overheating

Hi!

We have a 2011 Damon Astoria with 36,000 miles. Has a 345 Cummins diesel (pusher). In Colorado & WY on vacation & engine keeps overheating...alarm comes on. We’ve cleaned the radiator & put a new radiator cap on. Neither helped. Doesn’t necessarily have to be climbing a hill for it to happen either. Any suggestions?

Coolant needs flushed every 5yrs.. no matter the miles.. and change thermostat.. that is cheapest.. go with lowest temp thermostat you are comfortable with.. are you going to have shop do it?

I have 2010 damon tuscany with same problem. Low miles, I flushed the radiator 3 times and put in new anti freeze as directed, new thermostat and washed the cak and radiator and it seems to of eleminated my issues for now. I suggest you do the same..Anti freeze has to be proper kind as per manual and make sure you flush until pure clean water coming out. GOOD LUCK. By the way, there was a suit filed against Cummins for this very thing and they fixed a lot of them or furnished parts at no cost.
