Cure for slideout wipe seals not flipping over

I just replaced the wipe seals on my bedroom slideout and they wouldn’t flip over. Monaco used that mild sandpaper tape on the sides of the slideout but they still wouldn’t flip over.
I bought some 1/4”, 1/2 round plastic body molding and installed it about 1/2” from that sandpaper tape and it works great !
It comes with 3M adhesive tape, and I used acetone to clean the surface and applied the molding.
It is hardly noticeable and so far, works great.
I found it on eBay

We had the same problem and found some 2" anti-slip tape(used for steps) that we put on the slide. Fairly coarse. Worked fine.

Don't worry about them flipping over. They seal in either direction.

I kind of figure if the factory didn’t think it was important for them to flip over, they wouldn’t have installed the non slip tape to make them flip...just saying........
