Dash Instrument lights

I noticed that my dash instrument lights are not working when I have the headlights on with the ignition on or off. I can't find a fuse for the instrument lights. I know this is a wide open question but hoping maybe someone might have some suggestions.

Thanks

A lot of Freightliner Chassis have what's called EL lighting in the dash. An EL inverter to convert the 12 VDC to 100 VAC or more (very low current) is used and they sometimes go bad just like Florescent Light Ballasts.

Call The Freightliner Hot Line 1-800-FTL-HELP and see if they will send you the specs. Buying from them will cost way too much and these things are for sale on the web. The hard thing will be finding it.

check to see if the tail lites are on? same circuit usually and may be the reason if tail fuse is out or also there is usually a separate lite dimmer button/switch beside the headlite switch and it may just turned/set too low.thats how mine works and its says bright and dim right on the rocker switch that dims and or brightens the dash lites
