Dash radio antenna replacement

We have a new AC Revolution. On the weekend I noticed it had one of those cheap looking radio antennas (with the coil spring near the bottom) that was rusted. Has anyone replaced just the shaft of the antenna? I wouldn't want to take the base off if I didn't have to. I know they have those short rubber ones but do not know if they would fit. I seem to remember having the same antenna on our 07 Discovery. I didn't like that one either, it would keep hitting the roof when we were cruising down the hiway. I know you can tilt them so they stand higher, just never bothered, it also rusted, just couldn't see it from the ground.

if yours is the type that can be laid down via loosening a pivot bolt...unscrew the bolt...remove the mast(will lift right off once bolt is removed) and take it with you shopping and look for a replacement. I believe most of them are the same or very similar.

First, with a new Revolution, and its already rusted, I would try to make them replace it.

Second, that one with the spring could be a CB antenna. That's what they usually look like.

I've seen a lot of the rubber ones. After a while, they take a permanent set toward the rear.

Take the rusted one off and paint it silver.

I would agree, but there is nothing else wrong with the coach and it is such a pain taking it in....maybe I will wait for a couple more items, there always is with a new coach.
