Data reader

I have a 1999 Pace Arrow vision. I am trying to locate the multi pin code reader port. My mechanic can't find it. The down loaded manual is very poor. The book is saying it's on the right of the vehicle. But I just don't see it. Does anyone know where they hid it?

I believe it's on the right side of the steering column. It's usually hidden and you may have to look behind the plastic panel under the dash, etc. --it also may have a cap on it ...i.e. it's not easy to spot just by glancing at the right side of the steering column as you may have to dig around a bit.

But somebody who has the same year and model as yours I'm sure will let you know exactly where to find it.

Technoid-

If it's a Ford F-53 chassis, this document may apply:

Ford Technical Bulletin Q-178 F53/ F59(2011) OBDII Diagnostic Connector Location

I had a 99 PA Vision 36B. The port on mine was almost on the floor, on the firewall, on the left side of the column. I had a driver side door and using it was the best way to access it.

On mine there is only the level control module down near the floor. Plus on the firewall in same location is a relay box with red trim. No data port. My rip-off downloaded chassis service manual shows a very poor confusing diagram of the locations being on the passenger side. Nope, not there either. I'll keep looking.
