Thanks for all the info. I was able to hook up my portable generator to the land line today and got the house batteries charged up enough to start the on board generator and charged the house batteries for four hours and the inside warmed with the on board heater.
the chassis batteries seemed to take a small charge because the engine did turn over a few times but could not start it.
The chassis batteries are enclosed under the slide out and I was unable to get to them to hook up a charger but I brought my packet of owner manuals home to figure if I can hook a charger to something under the hood. If not I have no idea how to get it started again because the slide out is too close to a post to open. go figure.
I will be replacing all the batteries in spring because they are indeed the originals and seven years old. I think that is about the life expectancy.
The saga will continue. Thanks again.
