Dead Battery 2006 Gulfstream

RV not used for 4 months with all systems turned off by relays.

Tried to activate turn on relay with no response. Found coach batteries at near zero. Also found propane at zero.
Recharged batteries and activated turn on solenoid. Found almost one half amp draw from batteries with no systems turned on.

Looking for trouble shooting ideas.
Thanks..............Jim

I was having the same problem even after shutting off the main switch. Come back two or three weeks to dead batteries!! I installed a cut off switch like the one attached at the batteries and that solved the problem. You see there are many things we don't think of such as smoke detectors, gas leak sensors, etc that run in the background. That solved my problems, hope this helps. Click image for larger version

With the propane also drained down it made me wonder if your heat was left on? All we can do from here is guess.

I either plug mine in while in storage or use the battery disconnects or I encounter drained batteries wishing 3-4 months too.

I like the idea of the battery cut off switch but I am still concerned about the half amp battery draw with no systems on. I know there are some processes running in the background but nothing that could pull half an amp to my knowledge. I know I should be pulling fuses but I will not have access to the coach till Saturday.

I also cannot figure the zero propane. I know the heater was not left on but just thought I need to take a look at the stove. But again it seems the propane detector would have activated.

Thanks for all your suggestions.................Jim

I also installed a flip switch (kind of the ones in the old Dr. Frankenstein movies) to the generator batteries under the steps in my RV. This cuts all power except the two engine batteries.
