Deal alert! Progressive EMS

I was told this is the proper sub to post this great deal I found!

https://www.ameritempgroup.com/apps/search?q=Ems

I got the EMS-LCHW50 for $266.56 plus free shipping.

Figured I'd pass along the good deal!

I think you guys are talking apples and oranges: 50A vs 30A, installed vs portable.

Thanks,
This is a good price, I checked my usual sources and no one was close.
Also had a good price on the remote display. I installed one of these and having the convenience of checking the quality of the power in the coach is nice along with being able to see if there have been any faults.

For owners who do not have a surge protector I would highly suggest you get one. It only cost me ~$450 to learn a hard lesson, I know others have spent much more.

Why wouldn't one use something like this? Far less expensive, though it needs to be wired in:

That is a one hit wonder Surge suppressor only. It is sacrificial. One hit and it's done. It is not an EMS. Large spikes are not much of a problem in campgrounds. Low voltage is.

Hi John! That just provides some protection against surges. The EMS series from Progressive Industries provides protection for just about any kind of AC problem, some that can cause a lot more damage than surges. They are expensive, usually in the $300 range, but well worth it when you consider the damage that can be done to your RV without them! Some people have had just about all of their electrical equipment wiped out!

I just ordered the Hughes Power Watchdog 50 amp hardwired version through Amazon for $246. It has a couple of nice features that the other don't like a bluetooth interface so it can be monitored through your phone and also the surge protection module can be user replaced for about $35.

You're welcome!

I ordered mine yesterday afternoon and I already got an email from UPS saying it will be delivered tomorrow!

I thought this was a great price, until I checked the shipping. The shipping was $89.00 to California. Either the OP got some special on shipping, or neglected to provide the shipping info. $355.00 with shipping. Amazon is $379.00 for the model that comes with the remote. The same model with remote on the OP's site is an additional $45,00 more, making it $400.00.

I always like a good deal, but this one may not be so good, unless the shipping is free.

Use code "shipfree" for orders over $250.
