Diesel Chassis Maintenance & Training Courses available....who knew?

Just arrived. This months issue of Motorhome. A lot of interesting stories for discussion but perhaps this one most caught my attention and interest.

Seems Freightliner offers Camp Freightliner Course 1 and 2 for chassis education and training. They also do a Fireside Chats at various shows and rallies around the country and are mini-versions of the camp and cover a lot of information in about 90 minutes.

Curious how many of you have attened any of these type of educational opportunities for Freightliner or any other Chassis Maintenance program.

I'm going to look into attending. Perhaps at Tampa if they have it there this year.
Blessings
James

We attended the 101 class in Gaffney couple years ago.

Do most of the work on our coach myself. Would do the 201 if I can get scheduling worked out.

Recommend unequivocally. I attended the #1 class once before I ever bought my coach, then again 2 years later after some experience. At that time they weren't running the #2 classes.

It looks like all scheduled dates are booked, and I can't find any 2018 schedule.

Did the fireside chat in Feb at the FMCA SEA Rally in Lakeland, FL. Same time I bought the coach. Scheduled for CF1 11-12 Sep and having first service done while in class. I will try and schedule CF2 for next service while I am down there.

BTW, if you are attending Newmar International Rally in Sedalia, MO this year, CF1 is being offered.

Did FL I and II - highly recommend! Course work is great - handouts very helpful! FL II is done at the FL service center in Gaffney, SC - techs are fabulous and you'll be under your own rig - ask all the questions you want.

Looking at Class 1 they are sold out for the remainder of 2017

Will have to keep an eye out for the 2018 class dates for Class #1. Every one of the 2017 dates are full already. Think I should get the #1 class first and then go for the next level
