Diesel engine noise

We have a Winnebago Journey 2004 on a workhorse chassis with a Cummins 330 diesel. Recently, we have begun to hear a 'clacking' noise from the motor. When in park the noise is very slight, but when the transmission is engaged the noise gets louder. The motor starts and runs as it always has, no loss of power.

Any ideas what could be causing the 'clacking' noise?

Thanks,

Ron

put your ear plugs in and stand over the engine while it is clacking and you may find some metal bracket has broken. that is what i found on my diesel.
