Update: the 230 mile trip home was made by keeping RPM under 1700. Call to schedule appt was fine, it will take 3 weeks at least.'

No answer to why the CEL came on with a creacked exhaust manifold, so we'll wait until they do the testing.

The CEL was probably due to low turbo boost, which was the result of lost exhaust pressure and volume via cracked/broken manifold.
