Thumbs up Thanks

Thanks for all the good advice and ideas. I didn't mention earlier and several asked why I would drain the separator, a few weeks ago after camping for a few days, the MH won't start. It cranked ok, just seemed like it was not getting fuel (I was unaware of the procedure for priming - thanks for that). Only way I could get it to start was a squirt of starter fluid. When I got home, I drained the separator, saw water with the diesel. Tried to start it, would not start (now I think I lost the prime) so another squirt of starter fluid and it has started repeatedly since then. So while in safe surroundings, I'm going to try and drain the separator and see if the priming suggestions work. I'd much rather try here than on the road or at some campground. I can alway's count on the members of iRV to lend a helping hand - thanks again.

If you see water in the separator, you should change the element.

The element ( filter ) has a water block material that will block up over time.

No Start

I found the best way to prime a diesel is to crack your injectors line at the engine head and have someone start the engine. Watch for fuel at the injectors soon as you see fuel turn off the key and tighten injectors. Now the fuel line is primed. You should be able to start you engine. This is how I prime my diesel.
