Dinning table chairs!! Stowing for travel?

They fall and flop and flip....no matter how we lay them.

What are the clever hacks for tieing down these whirling dervishes?

Regular chairs? Set them at the table like normal, then use elastic cords to hook them together or to the table pedestal. You make want to put a place mat or towel between the table edge and chair backs.

What, are you road racing or what? Just kidding. The wife just puts our two chairs right almost against the wall, and tucked under the table, as though we were gonna sit in them only a bit closer to the table. And, in the 50K miles and 8 years we've owned this rig and ran it, those chairs have sat right there, without moving. But, ours are on carpet so, that may, or may not, make a difference.

We turn ours toward the center aisle and then push them back against the buffet. In six years, one tipped over once.

We were involved in a head on. Since then all the chairs are tied together with nylon straps. The 2 dinning table chairs are tied together through a sturdy table brace and the "Swedish chair and hassock are tied to the dinning table chairs.

Use a couple of long bungee cords around the chairs to hold them up against the table.

We trashed ours and got two office chairs with bungee seats and back. They have five wheels and make it easy to get in and out. We simply bungee them to each other and the side base cabinet doors and they never move. When entertaining we swivel and two captains chairs and use beach/other chairs at the table.
