Discount on factory order and factory pick up

When ordering a motorhome with upgrades instead of buying off a lot can you still expect to get a 25/30% discount?

Is it more costly to do a factory pick up? and if you do a factory pick up do you order directly from the factory or through a dealer?

We are just beginning to look at motorhomes for future retirement even though we are a couple years away.

Thanks for any information!

Manufactures will only work with dealers. The 25-30% discount will depend on the dealer. I don't think you can generalize that discount throughout the dealer world.

I ordered my motorhome but not from the factory. Winnebago does not do direct selling and deliveries.

My thoughts on my ordering a motorhome with the options I wanted was that the dealer could sell for less than the same equipped unit on his sales lot because he had absolutely no money invested in my ordered motorhome.
