Just a follow-up to let you know that I contacted Newmar customer support and they sent me a layout drawing of the passenger side wall. This was very helpful as it showed location of the 1" aluminum wall frame members ("studs"). They are indeed 16" on center. One thing that I did not know that the Newmar rep pointed out was that any electrical wiring comes from the top and is dropped straight down. I will probably cut the carpet out to the dimensions of the cabinet base so it will fit directly on top of the 3/4" plywood flooring. I plan to secured the base of the cabinet to the floor as well as the wall. Am I setting myself up for squeaks when under way or shouldn't there be flexing between the wall and floor?
