Do you really use your dining room table??
My coach is 42' long. the living room slide is 12' it has a table and chairs and a 77" couch. on the opposite side is the kitchen and 2 recliners. We are a family of 4, DH, DW, and 2 lil girls (8 & 10). I have started the renovations. I am removing the recliners and cabinets above them to build custom bunks to match the rest of the interior. The recliners and jackknife sofa are off white leather (must go). trying to find a comfortable sofa thats 77" and comes apart to get it in is a problem. We are preparing to go FT spring to early summer of 2019. I keep trying to convince my wife that the dining room table needs to go. she's not havin it. Our current couch in our house (3 years old) is a kind of modular furniture. The backs come off and the seats separate. they just hook together. In its current configuration it is like 13' long. Starting from the left side it's a rocker recliner, then a 15* wedge console, then a recliner, then just a plain seat, then a recliner, another 15* wedge console, and finally ends with a rocker recliner. the 2 rocker recliners have the left and right arms on them so it looks like one giant sofa, but comes out in pieces. I figured if I removed the 2 wedge console's and the plain seat that makes the couch 4 recliners @ 114". That leaves roughly 30" that I could build a nice desk/work space for the kids to keep their school work at, eat at of just what ever. what do you think?? Is the dinning room table really that important??

Family of 4 and 2 of the 4 being younguns....in my humble opinion... YES, the dining table is important. Family can all eat together, girls can do homework, projects, what have you. Extra space for things to do while in the motorhome.
Remember due to depreciation this opinion is now worth a little less than you paid for it...

I would never remove my table. I don't like eating on snack tables or anything like them. I like to sit and enjoy my meals. Besides we also use it for projects that need more space like board games etc.

Here is another vote for keeping it as the family table. You can learn a lot about your young ones life at the family table.

Yep, unless we're eating outside, we sit at the dining room table.

Ditto on keeping the table, only two of us, comes in handy when we have guests or I have a project that needs table space.

We also use ours every meal served inside. Use it for all kinds of other stuff everyday. I would not even consider buying an RV without a four person table.

Our table is always in use. We have a table/chair set up and our next coach I"d love to have a booth. Miss the booth we had in our old TT.

Here is what ours gets used for.... I sent her manager these while she was on the phone with her and you should have heard the office erupt. Then it made in to the NIEHS newsletter...
