Do you remove your whole house water filter when sanitizing your system?
I'm ready to run some chlorine through the system and I'm assuming you do this with the filter removed, but I've not been able to find confirmation.

Then replace them with new after flushing the system.

After removing the filters, I pour the bleach into the empty filter canister; then pump it through the tank and sysyten

If you have the canister type the inside of it needs to be sanitized too, but remove the actual filter first. The throw away filters, yes, remove all and replace after.

Remove filter, sanitize the system, replace the filter.

We remove all water filters (including the one in the refrigerator!) prior to sanitizing the system ... and install new filters when we're done.
