Does 50 Amp mean two A/C ?
We recently purchased a 2007 Allegro 28DA, which has 50 amp connections. The coach only has one A/C unit, but since we live in an area which get hot in the summer, we're think maybe 2 A/Cs would be nice, sometimes.
With 50 amp service, does that indicate that the RV would be wired for two A/C units eventhough only one is installed ??

Only if it was an option at the time the coach was built. A simple call to Tiffin will tell you, as well as let you know what they would charge to do it. That way you have figure to use for further shopping.

For the most part this is true. 50 amp usually means 2 AC units or 1 AC unit and pre-wired for a 2nd.
I do not think it is 100% but probably 85% true.

It simply means that the 240 VAC 50 amp service is large enough to handle the power needed to run 2 A/C's. However, whether your coach has been pre-wired to install another A/C has to be determined.
Is there a dedicated circuit breaker in your existing 120 VAC service panel that is labeled Spare A/C or something to that effect?

A 2nd AC (13500btu) was an option in 2007 28DA as well as surrounding years. I would certainly think it would be pre-wired, especially if you have the 7.0 kw generator. Easy enough to find out, just contact Tiffin:

Does your coach have a crank-open type air vent in the bedroom? If so, and if it is prewired for a 2nd A/C, if you remove the inside trim ring for this air vent, you should find the A/C wiring in place and taped off.

I looked for your model for sale in a google search and saw a few that have a second AC on the roof over the rear bedroom. If you have a vent there, I bet pulling the trim will show wiring for a second unit. I'd start by looking at breaker panel to see if it is also ready for the 2nd unit.

You might want to see how well your air conditioner will cool your motorhome first. With the motorhome being under 30' one might work.
If not I just received this email for a closeout on a used AC. Link here

My 1990 28' has a 50 amp setup. only one A/C and I don't think you could put another one anywhere.

With all due respect, looking at many 2007's, most pics have 2 ACs of those for sale. It certainly was not standard in 2007, but an option.

Well with no slides and the layout, most 16 travel trailers have more room in them than my 28 footer.
