Hi all. Electrical moron here. I have a 50 Amp Surge Protector. Some of the campgrounds I've reserved for our Fall trip can only offer us 30 amp electrical hook-up. Will my 50 amp Surge protector work when I'm connected to 30 amp ?

Yes it will. The 50 amp suppressor only differs from a 30 or 20 amp in that it has two circuits to protect (two 50 amp 120 volts AC circuits). When you use the 30 amp adapter it will simply feed the same single circuit through both suppressor circuits.

Yes it will...you will need to buy an adapter that plugs into the end of your surge protector which will allow you to plug your unit into the 30 amp power on the CG post. You can go 50 amp to 30 amp but not 30 amp to 50 amp....You can buy the adapter at any camping World or RV supplier...heres a link that should help..Progressive Industries 50 Amp F to 30 Amp M Adapter - Adapters - Power Cords - Electrical
A lot of campgrounds w/o 50 amp have two 30 receptacles on the post. We found this device lets you plug your 50amp RV cord into both 30amp receptacles and your RV thinks it is pluged into 50 amps. Really nice when you want to run a bunch of electrical devises at the same time, water heater, ref, AC ect.
