Jeff,

As you can see there are lots of opinions - we all have them so I'll offer mine.

My previous DP was a 36' Itasca Meridian 34H with 2 slides. It was equipped with w/d, queen bed on a slide and ample living space for 2 adults. Lots of storage and drove like a dream. Never had a problem finding a site during the time we had it BUTTTTTTTT longings get you in trouble. Traded it in on an Ellipse 42QD with 3 slides. The ride is much better due to the tag axle and 8 air bags but storage space is less due to the tag and navigating the inside with the slides in gets a little tricky due to the location of the half bath and res fridge. Choice of sites has been greatly reduced as to length but I don't normally stay in smaller parks anyway.

Based on my experience and your stated needs I would recommend considering the Itasca Meridian 34H or the Winnie compatible DP. As far as I am concerned, older is better, but that is up to you.

Wish the best in your search - Richard

Any particular brand MH you have had issues with? If so - would you share what they were?
I have a 98 HR Imperial w/kitchen slide and in the 8 years I have lived full time in the the coach I haven’t had any issue that the slide aspect of the plumbing location would have made any difference at all.
It would be helpful to get some specifics so that we could be somewhat prepared/understand what we’re up against!
Thanks in advance.
