Mine runs everything, 7500kw, matter fact its takes quite a bit to "Load" it when I exercise it over the winter. I turn on the water heater, engine block heater, and heat pump and the most I've seen is 36 to 40 amps draw on the EMS.

It has meet all needs so far. Often had all 3ac on while driving. Now not sure how it would do if you add cook top and perhaps some items in outlets... (We have a 10k generator.)

Hi Cacher, you’re right, I wasn’t even thinking of the 30 amp direction?
And you’re right Dutch, you don’t as a rule run all those things as one time. Or maybe more aptly put, you learn not too!

I have not had a problem yet on our 6500 Onan but I also have the energy Management with power shed.
On a slightly different note the tech that took us through our PDI really encouraged us to maintain the Gen. monthly exercise. He mentioned that Cummins/ Onan were watching hr. meters and denying warranty claims if the hr. were excessively low.
I found that hard to believe but who knows. I have heard similar statements about my genrac whole house unit but that one is on an automatic exercise schedule

Hi Blackjack, Yes run it and run it under a load. Good to lubricate the seals and keep everything jelling. I take mine out for an hours run every 10 day. It not only exercises everything it chases out any critters!

Yes! I did the power consumption test prior to buying this current rig.

Well let's see. 2 roof ac units, electric water heater, electric clothes dryer, electric fireplace.
And that don't count lights, frig, convection microwave, counter appliances or hairdryer.
Quick answer: no it won't on a 6kw onan diesel genny.

Yes and no. 10k genny but the coach manual says if I am running all 3 ACs and try to run the washer/dryer then the Magnum EMS will shed the 3rd AC until demand drops. So technically yes/no.

12k Watt Onan with Isuzu engine. Runs everything I need to run. Will run all three A/C or two & washer drier.
Been a Service Manager at a Kubota dealership for twelve years now. Never had to work on any generators with Kubota engines. Most all Onans under 10k have Kubota engines.

Nope. The original owner ordered the coach with 50 amp service, one A/C and a 30 amp generator. They then added a second A/C followed by me enabled the electric side of the water heater. From the factory no problem, after the owner-alts not anymore.
