Dometic Awning

Hello,
My Dometic awning bottom right right arm does not close completely on to the side of the MH, when I close the awning. I have to push it side ways a little bit then it falls into place against the MH body. Is there an easy way to adjust this arm at the bottom?

Thanks!

From what I have read, this is sympomatic of the awning fabric not being straight. Check for any slight misalignment of the fabric. If it has a screw stopper, take the screw out, pull the fabric to straighten it, and reinstall the screw in a new hole. My old MH has done this for a long time and I have to adjust it from time to time.

Had the same problem, left side would not close properly.....they replaced the fabric under warranty. It was OK then.

Like Retired and Happy said, the fabric is a little off center. After a good storm or steady wind, the fabric may slide either on the roller or the awning rail. I used to get up on a short ladder, push the tube up a bit to take the load off then slide the fabric left or right an inch or so.

It doesn't take much to move the arms. Work the awning fabric in small increments.
