I had a similar but probably not identical problem on an older Dometic door awning (I think it was a 972). The motor would sometimes stall and it felt like it just didn't have the power to extend the awning. I had to hand crank it sometimes to get it in and out.
I finally something similar to what THIS GUY
did at the bottom of his write-up as it pertains to the motor. It was a long and tedious process but it worked and I had no problems with it thereafter. This was years ago.
However, I have a hunch that's not your problem as yours is fairly new. According to the manual (attached below), there are only two adjustments you can make for the extension and retraction distance. I wonder of you "played around" with the extension screw (#1 in the image shown below) if it would help any?
They also recommend that you use a silicone spray lubricant on the moving parts occasionally.
