Dometic ice maker noise when off

Hello all we have a new to us fleetwood discovery 37g and when the fridge is turned off in the coach I hear the ice maker gurgling. I did open the panel in the rear and checked the water line which there is none since we have all the water drained. The only thing I found was to turn off the actual breaker for the fridge which then stopped the noise completely.

This is our first fridge with an ice maker so is there something I am missing or something wrong with the ice maker?

Thanks

With the RV refrigerator shut off there should be no power to the icemaker(evidenced by your turning off the breaker) either-UNLESS you have your inverter turned on, and the wire bail arm down, which tells the icemaker to run. Make sure the inverter is turned off.

The icemaker is powered by 120vac, but not sure where it gets that power (you didn't mention the Dometic fridge model!). Some RV fridges have a separate power cord for the ice maker, while others split it off from the same cord that powers the electric operating mode for cooling. If a separate cord, the ice maker is still powered when the fridge switch is set to Off. However, it shouldn't ever gurgle (trying to fill with water?) if the arm on the icemaker is raised.

Ice Maker

120V AC via power cord goes to the ICE Maker then from ICE Maker to water solenoid valve
Switch inside ICE Maker is HOT all the time.....solenoid is HOT only when bail arm is down

Unplug wire at water valve solenoid and see if noise goes away. (outside compartment)

Switch is probably source of noise
