Dometic thermostat error

I have a new Dometic air conditioner and thermostat. I also had soft start installed on both air conditioner..First two weeks the new conditioner worked perfect..Now it has error code E1..I have googled this and can not find a fix. I have unplugged the thermostat turned off 12 volt. Any ideas would be appreciated..I had a RV tech look at it and worked perfect..One day later same code issue. Thanks

E-1 ; is usually a communication error .

It would help to know exactly what the model number of the new thermostat is ..

Roof air model ?
Year of RV.?

Perform a thermostat reset. If this doesn't fix it, then clean the connectors on the RJ11 (telephone) comm cord connectors and perform another reset.
If you tell us what thermostat you have, we can tell you the reset procedures.

Drop the inside cover and you should/may find a phone type coupler that needs to be replaced or exercised.

The signal goes from your thermostat to your first AC unit. If you have more than one they daisy chain with a phone type cable. Notice I may saying phone type, NOT to be confused with one off the shelf as they have special pinouts.

Download the service manual and it tells how to put it in diagnostic mode and run some tests to find out what is wrong but E1 error is probably a bad connection or broken wire to the thermostat. suitesowners.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Dometic-Thermostat-Service-Manual.pdf
