Drain lines after pumping antifreeze

I’ve been thinking - ( DW would argue that’s dangerous). Should I drain / do you drain the water lines after pumping antifreeze through the system in order to give it expansion space as it turns to slush in very cold weather?

It’s only suppose to turn to slush without expansion.

I blow out my lines first, then run the pink through, then blow the lines out again. I also leave all the valves open as well as the drain plug on the hot water tank. I will pour antifreeze down the drains and in the toilet. Overkill , maybe but I would rater do that than replace cracked lines.

Drain

I drain it out via the low points because it has done its job and there is no added value to leaving it. I also dump what is in the water filter (cartridge already removed of course) into the traps.

You are way over-thinking this. "Turns to slush" doesn't mean it begins to expand. The common RV antifreeze is good down to -50 F and some brands may claim -100F. It probably gets slushy well before those temperatures are reached, but it still isn't expanding and creating pressure on the tubing and fittings.

I thought the whole idea of RV anti-freeze was to fill rv plumbing lines with a medium that doesn't freeze

Then come spring....drain and flush system

That's kinda what I was thinking. Our coach is at Tiffin now, and I had no idea they required winterizing when leaving it with them for warranty work. They will do it for me apparently, but it's not free. Anyway, wondering if when I pick it up it will be dewinterized. If not, should be fun figuring it out. I suppose flush and drain....should be interesting.
