Question Draining the fresh water tank in 2006 Fleetwood Discovery.

I have a 2006 Fleetwood Discovery and I need to drain the fresh water holding tank to winterize. I cannot find the "drain" or valve for the tank. I have looked in the cubbie where all the water equipment is and there are directions on the door that tell me the steps BUT I can't find the low point drain to the tank! I have a hot water and cold water handle, but these did not drain the holding tank. I know it is simple, but HELP! I have looked everywhere in the outside cubbies and can't find it!

Last time I was in a Fleetwood I had to crawl into a compartment and open a 3/4" valve coming off the fresh water tank.

If my Bounder is the same as your Discovery the drain will be in the 3rd or 4th compartment on the curb side . You will see the plastic ball valve over the covering of the frame rails . It's a long reach or you may have to crawl in just a bit . Make sure you
turn it the correct direction as the valves have a tendency to be sticky or stiff and the handle may break. My handle was red and yours may be also.

Get on the ground in the area of your fresh water tank. Look up toward the underbelly of your coach. There should be a small plastic tube (about 1/2") of some sort hanging down for draining. Follow the tube up to find the valve. If you can not find it just turn off street water and turn on 12v. pump. Turn on a faucet and let pump empty tank. If you have an outside shower this will not put water in holding tank.

Thanks for this info. I've seen this valve and didn't know what it was for. It sure will be a lot easier than running the pump to drain the fresh water tank.
