Drive by wire

Hello all,

I have a 2002 Winnebago Chieftain 36W gas coach, my drive by wire module died last week and the service area I have it at told me that Workhorse no longer has these units available, my question is does anyone out here have a source where I can purchase a DBW module and wire harness?

I find it difficult to believe that I cannot find this product, are we just suppose to junk our rigs when parts are no longer available? This does not make sence to me at all. I would appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks

I find this difficult to believe as well. I believe there is a Federal rule that they have to have multiple sources of this part even if they go bankrupt.

Does yours look like one of these? Drive by wire

Jim thanks for the response,

I am not sure what it looks like, It is at the shop and I did not take it apart, I will get them this info to them but still need to find a source where I can buy this product.

If its a chevy motor, call a chevy dealer with the numbers on the box...

And then get a new shop..

Yeah, I agree, change shops.

What do they want to do about it? Install a mechanical throttle system?

Hi boispr, I know nothing about a workhorse since I left the farm in 1945.

You might try Colaw Rv parts and sales, Carthage, Mo. They have a large selection of salvage. Old trucker
