Drivers seat swivel cable

I have a 2003 National Dolphin LX with power seat. The swivel aspect of this seat is cable actuated but the plastic housing that holds the cable and screws into the side of the seat is broken ( very brittle -- sun exposure I assume ) Anyone know where one might acquire one of these cables ? There are no identifying branding signs on the seat visible to me. Thoughts ??? Thank you .

You should be able to go to an Auto Parts store and buy a choke cable or something similar. Make a new bracket to hold the knob and replace your original cable.....it's just a cable!

Thanks for the reply Don & Mary. The cable itself is not broken. It is the plastic lever portion that screws into the side of the seat and houses the cable end that is broken.I assure that the plastic part itself is not available and will have to buy the whole cable. Missed closing time for a flexsteel dealer in Indiana -- will try them tomorrow.

I understand the plastic is broken. Just replace the whole assembly. Make an "L" bracket or plate and screw to the underside of the chair where you can easily reach it.

I did a search for the heck of it and just found this....

It's probably a Flexsteel brand seat, so look for a shop that handles repairs & parts for Flexsteel furniture. Or maybe contact Flexsteel direct.
