Sorry my friend, but often going off on those tangents can be just as informative as answers more directly related.

Regarding YC1's and resulting comments, if you use an engine brake and didn't find that informative, you have my apologies. I thought a lot of it WAS interesting, and directly related to the topic at hand (stopping/slowing, right?).
