Dyeing leather furniture

Looking at a coach that has an awful blue interior. The dealer says they can dye the furniture a brown or black.

Has anyone heard of this? Does it last? Does it bleed onto your clothes?

If you use a good quality paint, and prep/apply correctly, it will last and not bleed. You’ll want to know exactly what the surface is (treated leather, untreated leather, vinyl) before you do the work.
SEM makes very good products, and of course there are others as well:

I have seen like new furniture including captain chairs for sale at decent prices. The closer to indiana the better.

First of all, it's vinyl rather than leather. Makes a difference in the type of coloring and the process.

Yes, it is possible to dye or paint most vinyl. The results may vary with the quality of the material and the skill of the techs who do it. Whether your dealer can do a good job is anybody's guess, but there are pros in most metro areas that can do it.

There are some excellent paint/dye products on the market. Duplicolor has the VHT brand,
for example. Rustoleum has one too.

Here's a video on some of the products.

I had my couch, chairs and bedroom headboard reupholstered in Yuma this past winter... WOW !! Guy came, removed, recovered and reinstalled.. Great work and very inexpensive. I wouldn't let upholstery hold me back if I knew Yuma was in my travels..
