Electric Sunshade Relay

Anybody know how to check them? The shade goes down real slow and will not go up. Relay is also warm to the touch. Thanks

Sounds like a motor going bad if the relay is getting warm, but I would not rule it out eather need to check motor also

Who makes your sunshade? If it's an AutoMotion shade I'm currently working on a solution to the motor issue. As many of us know, AutoMotion will not sell a replacement motor - they'd much rather sell a whole new shade. I've found a supplier for a replacement motor and right now I'm working out how to adapt it to the AutoMotion shade roller. As soon as I can work out the kinks I'll be publishing an app note on how to fix it - stay tuned!
