Electrical Issue

We have a 2004 Newmar Kountry Star. All was working fine. But this morning when using the microwave and induction stovetop all the lights dimmed and the power flicked and shut off for a second. It did not throw the GFI or pop the circuit breaker or the campground circuit breaker.

This issue is repeatable. When starting the microwave all the lights dim and flick and the circuit cuts off. The GFI does not click on. This is also repeatable with just the generator and not shore power.

Any ideas, suggestions?

Kevin

Look for a bad connection. Can be hot or ground/neutral.

You're not using a long extension on your shore power cord are you? It sounds to me like a low voltage problem. Can you use a voltmeter and check the voltage at the CG pedestal?

Because two coach power systems are effected , you need to go to a point in the coach wiring where the 12 volt for the lights and the 120 volt supply for the microwave intersect .

That point would be in the coach inverter . Can you post info on your inverter ; make and model ?

ok, I checked the inverter, and the 30A reset button was sticking out. I pushed it back in and reset the inverter. It all seems to be working again. Here is hoping - thanks for your answers.
