$80 won't even get you an uncovered spot, and I don't believe rodents and bugs can't get into an enclosed spot.
I'd go covered but I'm not rich. I can't believe what folks spent at NIRVC to store their Mohos indoors.

$80 will get you about 8.5' of my enclosed 50' unit outside of Houston.

I built my enclosed 20 years ago, concrete block and brick, steel doors and no windows. My investment averaged about 300.00 per month over the 20 years The coach is protected from wind, rain and sun and I can do my maintenance and repairs inside and leave tools out if I don't finish the same day

For me these are the reasons for enclosed plus I worry a little less about an occasional hurricane.

I was lucky with a little roof modification I was able to get my RV into my barn. Later I will put some kind of front cover to protect the front of the coach from sun damage.
I had to cut out the cross beam from the front of the barn and then with the help of my son-in-law put in doubled beams further inside and higher up where the slope of the roof gave me enough inside clearance to get the coach inside.
I had already run 30 amp service into it for our previous owned class “C” so power is not a problem.

We go fully covered unless we are using it. Much better protection.

We all envy you guys that have covered storage at home. What a great setup, but I think he is asking about paid commercial storage.
I could be wrong...

We would never even consider purchasing a MH that we couldn't afford to fully enclose. We live in H-Town and I watch what our climate does to the RV's that are parked outside or even the partially covered. That sun is brutal to the uncovered parts.

I'm in the Houston area as well - I'm in Kingwood, NE of Houston up in the Humble area. Enclosed storage that's big enough for our 43' coach is tough to find, and expensive, at least in my mind. I found one spot, it was $345/month, a 35 minute drove from home, and by the time I got back to the guy it was gone. Most of the fully enclosed units around here are not long enough for a 43 foot coach. I am presently in a covered but not enclosed spot, and it's not paved. It's dusty and the coach is always covered in dust. When it rains it's a muddy swamp. For this I pay $275 per month. I don't know where you are in Houston, but up here in the Kingwood/Humble area, it's a tough go if your coach is over 40 feet.

I just checked the place I used to store mine at. Mine was indoors for $300/mo. The outside covered used to be cheap, but now they are full and the price has gone up to $180+. So I apologize for my error. I cannot believe how much it increased in a year but last year it was new and empty.
I would still pay that if thats all I had.
I bought a shop and keep mine in there with a dehumidifier during the humid months.
As for bugs and vermin. I have my unit professionally maintained and I have made a strong attempt to make sure there are no gaps of openings for them to get in.
The benefit of paying a bit more for my own shop is that I have room for cars, and other items

I'm in Clear Lake. The spot I found is in Baytown. It's about 25 minutes away which isn't too bad.

I got lucky. I went to sign up for a covered spot. Someone called in to cancel their enclosed spot while I was there. I snagged it.

Covered with 50AMP service and wide enough to open the basement doors. Nothing better.

I am puzzled by those that spend 200k+ on a mh then do not want to spend $80 a month to at the least, pay for covered storage.
In the Chicago area I'm lucky if I can find an uncovered space for $100. Anything fully enclosed is North of $250 and you have to guarantee the full year. Doesn't matter if you only need it 3 months.

That's cheap. Fully enclosed 50' space in Houston ranges from low 400s to 900s per month depending on location, 20 amp vs 30 amp, and insulated or not.

My enclosed space is 50' uninsulated, 20 amp for $480/mo.
