Engine block heater

Hello fellow rv'ers, i currently own a 2013 Thor Tuscany 42 wx dp. In the rear bathroom there is a light switch below the closet door close to the toilet, when you flip the switch a red light comes on next to it. Could this be the engine block heater switch im looking for.? Any ideas.

Seems like a strange place to have the block heater switch. One idea maybe elect. floor heat in bathroom or optional kick panel heater.
My block heater has an outlet in engine bay. If yours is the same you could test it with another item and the switch. My switch is at the dash. I also have AH heating loop so I think there's some 12v relay that may swap the heating between AH and 120v. The toggle switch is too close to other 12v lamps to have a box like it should for 120v switch.
If you have coach power panel with amp meters you can turn it on see if it pulls about 12 amps or any amps if it's powering something .

That switch is for your 12 volt electric holding tank pad heaters. It should only be used when there is at least enough water in the tanks to cover the bottom and should only be used with engine running or plugged into shore power as they draw a lot of power. If they are the Ultra Heat brand they will be thermostatically controlled but the elbow heaters, if equipped, will not, they stay on anytime the switch is on.

The switch with led indicator , if it appears to be a 120 volt style , would be holding tank heaters , as described , but require 120 volt shore power to operate.
My coach is set up this way .

Block heater is possible ... but isn't anything for a block heater control switch laid out in your owners manual ?

Yes? Well it depends. Do you have a maceration toilet? If not I's say it is the engine heater switch.

Mine is in the bedroom and is an ordinary 120VAC light switch, but no light to indicate it's on, just labeled "engine heater".

Thanks to everybody's reply, i traced the cable from the engine and it leads to the switch. Must be engine block heater. The manuals mention block heater but dont say where the switch is at. Allways an adventure if you own a rv, again thank you all.

hmmm, I guess they put it there because they figured you would be sitting there on a cold morning thinking "I'd better use the block heater today", pretty ingenious. Or it was just a close, convenient location
