Engine or Exhaust noise?

I have a 2006 Dutch Star with 48000 miles on a Cummins 400 ISL . For the last 7 years this motor has taken me high and low without a problem.

We just drove from Yosemite to Rocky Mountain National park for a first time to look at this park. About a day or so ago I noticed a louder engine noise as I drove out of a Rv park in Utah. I don't know much about deisel engines but the noise reminded me of an exhaust leak or exhaust gasket leak in a gas engine car. It is only noticeable when I accelerate, and not much at idle.

I looked at the flex exhaust tube and did not see a tear, as I have replaced that in the past. The performance is about the same and there are no warning lights or change in temperature.

Can anyone recommend a good, honest, and reasonably priced place in Colorado to have it looked at?

We used Cummins Coach Care in Grand Junction Colorado while we were there this Summer. We had generator issues. They were professional and had electric available. Work was clean and correct. Good luck.

Could be the muffler is rusted out on the inside.
