Engine/Trans noise

We have a 2000 Holiday Rambler Vacationer 33PS on the Ford F53 Chassis, has the Triton V10 with 83k.
I just noticed when I started the engine and idling in park (of course) or neutral and I can hear a lite clicking/tapping sound at the back of the engine front of transmission but when I put the trans in reverse of drive the sound goes away? WTH could that be?
My engine runs great with no miss or issues.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks Bill

Time to examine the exhaust manifolds carefully for any signs of a leak , around one flange gasket , that can sound like ticking , the movement of the engine as it loads up on the mounts could cause enough movement to change the sound.

Look for broken exhaust manifold studs.

It has the Banks exhaust (headers) but I'll check that for sure.
I'd rather replace an exhaust gasket than have an engine/Trans issue for sure.
Thanks,
Bill

As mentioned earlier check your header gaskets and bolts. Then check at the collectors at flange your exhaust system bolts to. Might want to pull the doghouse and see if you can locate the source.

Rare occorance, but loose torque converter bolts can make a sound like that in neutral or park..
Once in gear, the sound stops.
