Engine Warning Tone - Easy way to Disable ?

I had my High Water Temp warning light go off on my last trip. It was a false reading. After a few days the false warning light and tone stopped; however, it didn't make for a fun drive with that high pitch tone on the entire trip.

Any suggestions on how to disable the tone in the future? Do I have to take the dash apart? I was hoping for an easier solution.

I have a '98 Monaco Dynasty.

Thanks,
Jeff

I don't have a Monaco but many RVs have a "silence alarm" feature built into the dash instrument package.

Bob,

While on a trip, Fixing a FALSE alarm could be a time consuming process which would kill or shorten the trip. I understand your point of keeping the RV in the correct condition, but I'm asking if anyone knows a short term solution to disable the tone.

Thanks

As I mentioned, look into the features of the instrument package. On mine I depress the "SET" button and it silences the alarm. You may have a similar feature.
