Equalizer System Issues, Newmar

My leveling jacks will not lower, as I am in Juneau Alaska, my options for repairs are limited. Have already set the null on the system. Fluid is topped off, I hear a clicking noise when I press the 'Auto Level' button but nothing happens. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Have a Newmar Baystar Sport 30'; the leveling system is an Equalizer System, Auto-Level.

Do you have a copy of the manual from Equalizer with you ? Does anything happen when you retract all ( even if they are already up). Does anything happen when you try to level manually? Have you checked the starting battery power level?

I may be misreading your post but are you saying you reset the null today? If so how did you do that if the jacks won’t work? Or is it that just auto level doesn’t work? Have you tried with the engine running, not just in the acc position?

Our system failure was caused by faulty electrical blade connections at the hydraulic pump. I had one which was broken so I replaced it and all the rest just to be on the safe side. All good since.
Equalizer support said most problems relates to electrical issues.

I have the manual from offline. When I tried to lower the jacks manually only one was able to go down, but even that was only once , using auto level just a click noise.

Engine is running when attempting to lower, which is required for the Newmar Baystar sport.

I may pull the batteries out and replace. Wife and I are being relocated for the coast guard out of Juneau and this will be our main home until we find a new place at the new duty station.

Juneau being a land locked island I can only hope their is an ability to get it diagnosed / repaired if I can’t figure out what is going on.

I’d give Equalizer a call.

If a click but nothing happens, I would suspect the power feed to the pump or the relay that starts it. A failed pump is possible, but they are pretty robust.

Equalizer tech support was good back when I had their system - give them a call.
