Excited to start our journey - 03 American Eagle

My husband and I just bought our first diesel and what a beauty. This forum has been so beneficial in helping us work through some of the issues that faced us that so many have already experienced. We are very grateful for the wisdom, advise, and "how to" guidance provided. Many thanks and we hope to pay it forward as we learn the ropes of RVing full time.

Some of the things we have corrected are (thank goodness my husband is handy and performs all work himself)
1. 4 ceiling lights in bedroom didn't work. Found wiring in closet had come lose.
2. Fob to coach and bay doors didn't work. Order a new control modular and fobs from Fleetwood. By the way, Rick is an incredible rep for Fleetwood.
3. P trap was stagnate. Bleach, bleach, and more bleach.

I'd say we got off pretty easy.

We are taking our 1st road trip this weekend and looking forward to building more friendships and memories.

We are so happy with our purchase.

Kristin,

Have a great time and safe travels. My wife and I are just a few steps below your coach. We are picking up our 2003 Revolution on Thursday. I got to spend the day going the coach last Saturday. I noticed it had a FOB on the keys the had a I on one button and a II on the other. It didnt seem to work on anything on the coach so I just assumed it was left behind by mistake.

Thanks! Congratulations on your purchase. Yes, that is the FOB we had originally (roman numerals). You can re-program it fairly simple. Check the manuals. If not available, I will get step by step instructions for you. The only reason we bought a new module and 2FOBS (total $230) is because we needed another FOB and the original was no longer in production. When we received our new module the new FOB still wouldn't work. check the wiring in the coach door. There should be 8 wires total. Several of ours were severed from being caught in the door. My husband spliced them back together and all works. You will enjoy having the FOB especially for the bay doors.
