exhaust suppression

So those who have come up with a good remedy, let's hear it. When boondocking or camping where your parked on grass, etc., what nifty solution did you come up with to insure your genny/aquahot exhaust doesn't start a fire? Not real excited about extensions for the exhaust pipe.

Use a Genturi exhaust vent system. Easy peasy. Gets the diesel exhaust up and away from others. cuts the noise also.

I removed the turn down tips from both the gen and Oasis exhaust and replaced with stainless steel pencil tip units. My main issue was the Oasis exhaust was right above my sewer and water hoses and wanted to avoid damaging either one from heat.

The turn down tip on my genny comes off when I install the Genturi. The pin drilled through hold both in place. I could turn it up but may want to waft into windows or choose a straight pipe. My AH is straight out all the time. I would think a 18" x 18" aluminium staked slightly off the ground , or like an air bake sheet would also help in non scary dry areas.

I don't think it's an issue. Unless you park in foot tall dry grass that touches your exhaust pipes, you won't have an issue. If there is some grass near your exhaust, tamp it down with your feet or remove it.

I also removed my turn down exhausts tips, not for fire reasons, I just don't like the look of them. I replaced mine with SS pencil tips.
