You are going to get alot of pros and cons on this subject. A lot of folks will tell you to take the monthly premium you would pay and put that amount in the bank. Others will tell you its a waste no matter what. There are some like me who believes in extended warranties if needed.
I had Good Sam Extended warranty on my past 5thwheel and truck. My truck needed all new steering components. GS paid for all but the deductible saved me a ton of money. Was it worth is you bet!
Traded for a new coach did not get warranty as mfg warranty covers most of the problems if it were to happen.
Traded that new coach for my current 07 looked into extended warranty and the cost per month because the coach was so old just would not pay for its self.
Good Sam to me could be used anywhere not just local shops. Yes you may have to jump through some hoops but then these days most have to anyway.
I just am not the type of person that could take the monthly premium and put it in the bank, thus went with GS.
Good Luck safe travels

This topic has been beat to death over the last couple of years. If you do a search for "Extended Warranties" which are actually "Extended Service Contracts" you will find enough reading to fill an entire evening.

Not to be rude by any means. But do you expect different answers to the same post you did yesterday?

Or of the thousands of posts on service contracts (you are not looking for a warranty that is part of the purchase of the vehicle) that is available with a quick search?
So, short story: You will very likely never get your money back purchasing a service contract. The wholesale price of a contract is based on expected claim expense (based on a huge amount of data that end users don't have), plus their expenses (salary, IT, buildings, marketing). Then the real cost is the dealer / salesperson markup on the contract (typically cost = $500, selling price = $1000 ie: 50% keystone markup).
If you can get the salesperson to reduce their margin, then you stand a chance of getting a better deal than others. You still will likely loose money overall.
Put the money in the bank for a rainy day and don't touch it.
