F53 brake boost relay

Hi, could anyone please tell me the location of the brake boost relay and what fuse or fuses feed that circuit and their location?
I have to replace the solenoid it's bad and want to be able to check all the components. My rig is a 94 F53 Holiday Rambler.

On my 1999 F53, the fuse panel is located under the hood, directly above the radiator. Its Fuse #29, a 60 amp maxi fuse.. This is the fuse that powers the electric boost motor for the brakes.

There is also a 5 amp fuse (fuse #1, same box) that powers the Power brake assist controller.

This may be significantly different that your 1994 model, but I still bet its a 60 amp fuse.

Here is a diagram from my 2001 Mirada, Yours may be similar:

NOTE - The "C" as in "C141" are the connectors, not the actual components.

Here are most of the component connector locations up around the master cylinder:

And the control module, C232 Hydro-Max module (look in upper right corner)

It doesn't run when key is turned on hasn't since I've owned the coach to my amazement. The solenoid on the motor has a broken terminal a new one should arrive in a couple days. Both motor and pump tun when I jumped the terminals. Just wanted to inspect everything in the circuit to make sure it works.

I just made an extensive post to someone also having a problem with their Hydro-boost system:

http://www.irv2.com/forums/f258/elec...er-433841.html

In your case, first get the motor fixed.

Then, I would unplug the flow switch, then jumper across the connector terminals. Turn the key ON, if the motor runs, the switch is not making connection or the plunger up inside isn't moving, give it a healthy squirt of silicon spray.

If the motor doesn't run, check the relay, an if its OK, you probably have a bad control module.

F53 Brake boost relay

I actually have a hydro boost system with a auxiliary electric motor and pump that is mounted in the propane locker on the right side of the coach. Ford doesn't have any diagrams and it's to old Monaco/ Holiday Rambler doesn't go back that far. Replaced the solenoid still doesn't work except when I jump the solenoid. Any help appreciated!

From your posts it sounds like you are skipping steps in your troubleshooting efforts.

First, check the fuses you know exist.

Next trace the available voltage from the source through each wire to make sure power is getting to the components.

If no power exists, confirm you have good connections ie' no broken or loose wires or grounds.

After all that then you can suspect and check the components by providing power directly to them from a power source.

Troubleshoot from the easiest and most obvious to check first, to the more difficult and least obvious.

I've checked all the fuses I can find all good. I've cleaned all the connections including the grounds as well. I just don't know how many components are in this system or where they are located except the obvious hydroboost and the auxiliary motor and pump.
