F53 EZ Suspension Fix

I have a 2000 Fleetwood Southwind on the F53 chassis. I tried the EZ suspension fix today involving moving to the inner holes on the front sway bar as described on YouTube. In order to do so, I had to remove a bracket that bolted to both holes on the sway bar, as the angle of the links changed enough that there was no longer room for the brackets. I’m wondering how necessary that bracket is, since the RVs in the YouTube videos did not have them at all. Anyone have experience with this fix that can advise if removing them is OK? I also had to go to a lot more trouble than they did on the video, I believe because my sway bar angle is less than on newer units, which forced me to loosen up the whole sway bar, and had to use levelers on one side to make the link get back to its upper position. Thanks for the help.

That bracket is refereed to as a "Z" bracket. you'll need to completely remove it from the front sway bar links as it hits the links..

On the rear sway bar, you'll still use it, but you'll need to reverse it in the mount holes.
